Miss Delaney Paige. If you don’t know her, you should.
She’s the brunette beauty you see next to me in the photo above. She and I are good pals and had a great idea that we should do a joint fashion segment together that we’re going to call #workwhere.
Delaney: Works in an office and is one of those rare birds that actually loves and thrives in her 9-5 job. She’s got enviable career goals and pursues them with gusto. If you’re reading my blog and you hold no interest in working for yourself, I would highly recommend you hop, skip and jump over to Delaney’s blog. It’s a gold mine for the traditionally professional woman.
Me: I work from home on my own business for a few hours a day when not looking after my little one year old son.
As you can see, this makes our work wear choices very different.
I’m wearing an Urban Outfitters T-Shirt that often has people ask “Did you do that yourself?”. When in fact, no, I paid a high price for a t-shirt (which often happens in Urban Outfitters) to look like that.
I find that colourful lipstick and slinging on a pair of tan wedges are a great way to make me feel more put together if I need to run out the door. And big sunglasses hide a multitude of teething baby tiredness signs.
So no matter where you work or what you do, we’d love to see how you dress for work. You can find myself and Delaney on Instagram and we’d love you to tag #workwhere in your photo so we can have a good nosey at what work style looks like for you (even if that means a lab coat! Wait… ESPECIALLY if that means a lab coat).
Top: Urban Outfitters
White Jeans: Topshop
Tan Sandals: New Look
Lipstick: Mac Lipstick in Rebel
